Why do the typical approaches to economic development so often fall short and fail to get the results our towns need? Is there a more resilient approach that will keep jobs and economic prosperity in our communities over the long term?

This course will address those two key questions and show you how to apply a three-pronged approach to jobs, growth and economic development in your town:

  1. Economic Gardening - how to bring capital into your community
  2. Import Replacement - how to keep capital from leaving your community
  3. Main Street - how to increase the velocity of capital within your neighborhoods

This course is open to all audiences, but will be especially relevant to local government leaders, business owners and main street advocates.

Participants in this course will develop a plan for local action that they can begin implementing immediately.
