The Norman Community Action Lab is an opportunity to share a lot of ideas that inspire dialogue in the community. One of these opportunities to share ideas with the public is through a gathering Strong Towns calls a Curbside Chat. A Curbside Chat is a Strong Towns initiative to stimulate dialogue at a local level about how macroeconomic changes impact the way cities, towns, and neighborhoods prosper. 

Strong Towns Director of Membership and Development, Norm Van Eeden Petersman, hosted a Curbside Chat at the library in Norman on July 18, 2023. Norm shares observations highlighting how we have changed the way that we are building the places that we live in. These subtle changes take us further away from how we historically have developed cities, and are resulting in places that may be making us poorer.
